Interactive Doodles

Ordered take out from Le Bagel Delight today and started to doodle on the paper bag it came in. The napkins were a bit too thin this time. As I sketched out my first picture, I came to the part where the bottom of the paper bag would have to either go up or down. I needed to decided if I would incorporate the bottom of the bag into my picture or open it and continue to draw. I decided to do both. Here are two photos of the same picture but the bottom part changes depending on weather I lift the bottom of the bag up or down.

And then the bottom of the bag comes down and voila!

When I finished, the bottom of the bag flipped upside down to the other side of the bag. I decided to incorporate it into another picture on the other side. First, here’s what the bottom of the bag looked like before I flipped it to the other side…

Now it gets flipped upside down to the other side of the bag and I create a new drawing from it…

It’s an abstract lonely butterfly swooping down. But wait! Flip the bottom of the bag down and you will find…

…two other butterflies!

Thought this interactive doodle was a fun idea. Your thoughts? Any other found objects I could try this technique? Maybe you liked one of these pictures better than the others. If so, which one?

Anyway, thanks for checking out my doodling experiment today!

Happy doodling!
